The Athletics Department Foundation awards $6K to Texas high schools

The Athletics Department Foundation announced today its grant winners for the 2014-15 school year.

Grace Media, LLC will travel to the six grant winners and present a $1,000 check to each between April 1 and April 6, 2015. The 2014-15 winners are Tascosa High School in Amarillo; A&M Consolidated High School in College Station; Hudson High School in Lufkin; Woodville High School; Mumford High School; and Groom School.

The Athletics Department Foundation is a pilot program set up by Grace Media, LLC to give back to the schools that make  TheAthleticsDepartment.com web site possible. TheAthleticsDepartment.com is a sports information web site keeping track of the current University Interscholastic League, Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools and Southwest Preparatory Conference athletics playoffs as well as archiving the results and honors to create an online athletics history of Texas high schools.

Schools registered for the grant by adding a link to TheAthleticsDepartment.com on their web pages by December 31, 2014. Winners were chosen at random from six enrollment groups (>2100 students; 1060-2099; 465-1059; 220-464; 105-219; <105).
