Grace Media, LLC is a publishing company providing coverage of Texas high school sporting events as well as providing media services in the form of content, directories and historical data on Texas high school athletics.
The company started in 1995 when Grace Media founder Sarah Hornaday performed a marketing study exploring the feasibility of a Texas high school girls basketball preseason magazine. Grace Media, LLC did not publish a state-wide girls basketball magazine, but did produce the Houston-area preseason basketball magazine Lonestar Basketball.
Though the basketball magazine was Grace Media’s first publication, it was always a goal to archive Texas high school postseason results. Grace Media, LLC was a side venture for Hornaday while she concentrated on her newspaper career. Hornaday left her position as Houston Chronicle high school sports editor in 2006 to make Grace Media and the high school sports database a priority.
